SSF4AE 2012: Strongest characters

It has been a while now since SSF4AE 2012 was released and changes have been assimilated. These are some top players opinion on which characters could be definitely the strongest ones in this version.

Alioune: Seth, Cammy, Ryu, Fei Long, Akuma, Viper.

Evans: Seth, Cammy, Fei Long, Ryu, Makoto, Sagat.

Cuongster: Seth, Sagat, Ryu, Cammy, Viper. Top are Seth and C.Viper. I think Akuma is overrated. Now in 2012 Ryu is more powerful overall. It doesn’t mean best Akuma player will win less than best Ryu player. Ryu offensive power and damage output is just better than Akuma in 2012.

Fuudo: Seth, Fei Long, Adon and maybe Cammy.

Justin Wong: Seth, C.Viper, Adon, Akuma and maybe Fei Long.

Luffy: Seth, Cammy, Feilong, Makoto, Sagat, Ryu.

Ryan Hart: Cammy, Fei Long, Akuma, Seth, C.Viper.

Skatan: Seth and C.Viper are both very strong, but aside from them I think Cammy, Makoto, Akuma and Ibuki are really good characters. Street Fighter 4 has become a game that is more about how much damage you’re able to get safely from a knockdown more than anything else. All of these characters have the tools to handle most matchups, and they have great mixup-potential and damage output. But, unlike AE, in 2012 the difference between the top and high tier is not as great, and the same goes from high to mid tier. So there are more characters viable for tournament play.

Starnab: Cammy, Seth, Cody, C.Viper, Ibuki. Maybe Fei Long instead of Ibuki, not too sure.

V-Ryu:  Seth, C.Viper, Sagat, Akuma, Makoto and maybe Cammy.

Wolfkrone: I am really not sure tbh but I would say Viper and Seth.
