New Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Trailer Features, err, Swimwear

Posted by

Bad news in Tekken-land. The mysterious disappearance of the entire world’s clothing  by forces unknown has forced everybody to don swimsuits and bikinis to save possible embarrassment.

At least, I think that’s what’s happened. Maybe this video, released by Namco Bandai, will explain matters better…

No? Ah well.

Apparently, you can clad out your noble martial artists in somewhat ignoble attire via pre-ordering from certain outlets. Whilst the exact stores this bonus will be linked to has sadly yet to be confirmed by Namco Bandai for Europe, Namco Bandai’s US preorder page for TTT2 lists them as being available at the same outlets that are already offering the already announced early access codes to two out of the four DLC characters and the Snoop Dogg stage. Whilst that’s no confirmation that the same will hold true in Europe, as it stands Game (UK/France), Zavvi (UK) and Micromania (France) each have preorder DLC up for grabs, with other countries hopefully having similar offers being announced soon.

What’s the deal with 3D fighting games adding in swimsuits recently? First Soul Calibur 5 got swimsuit DLC, then DOA5 announced bikinis as a pre-order bonus, now TTT2 – it’s almost as if they’re telling us there’s nice weather outside! Fancy that.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is set to be juggling onto consoles in the EU on the 14th of September for Xbox 360 and PS3, with a Wii U version to follow at an as-of-yet unannounced date.

UPDATE: A reader informs that ShopTo also is offering a TTT2 pre-order bonus – Michelle and Angel.
